Commissioned Packbasket

Description

These woven backpacks are crafted with willow (grown on our farm or from local patches that I wild tend) and invasive species harvested from public land in restoration efforts make for .  You can help me design the backpack, helping to dictate its shape, size, color patterns, strap type, and more.  Note that the listed price is a non-refundable deposit toward the final basket.  We will work out details on pricing between us with final payment due upon receipt of basket.

Turn around time: 2 weeks
Sliding Scale (based on size of backpack, strap type, and your individual financial situation): $215-450

A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to begin weaving. We will work out details and ultimate pricing between us, with full payment due on receipt of basket.

These baskets are for those within a 200 mile radius of my home in SE Michigan.  If you are located outside of that range, consider supporting a weaver near you (I am happy to provide recommendations!).  Basketry at its heart is a place-based craft, and I prefer to not send my baskets long distances.
